Lessons from Stalingrad - new book

The Battle for Stalingrad (1942-43) is regarded as the most important battle of World War II. Not only was it the bloodiest battle in history, with over 1.5 million dead, it also marked the turning-point towards final victory. The battle itself carries with it many stories of courage, resourcefulness, dedication and self-sacrifice.

The idea behind this new book is to reflect on the battle and its aftermath, drawing lessons for today. I propose taking between 6 -10 main themes from the battle and to then use this as a basis for lessons today. These lessons will be applied with respect to software development and team building.
